It has helped me get on the right track. :)

http://www.unikeyhealth.com/product/149

I am currently taking 50 mg of Iodoral (a natural Iodine supplement made by Optimox Corporation)based on my test results from the Iodine Loading test and I am feeling much better. I too went to the doctor (more than one actually) and got all kinds of blood work done, etc. and everything was "normal" even though the docs admitted that there was/is clearly something wrong with me. I eventually just ha to take things into my own hands. Doing your own research really does pay off. You know your own body better than anyone else.

Hope this helps. :)

Cheers!

ValoraValorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05138199014365063522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-68172383017801205922012-06-11T10:47:10.618-07:002012-06-11T10:47:10.618-07:00Some sites you should read if you haven't yet ...Some sites you should read if you haven't yet are jackkruse.com tons of stuff on Leptin(really really important hormone)and tons of other health related stuff. Also he has an attached forum where you can ask questions related to anything on his site and an off-topic thread for other things.

As for a good doctor check out this site http://paleophysiciansnetwork.com/

Its a list of functional medicine doctors. Some are naturopaths some are chiropractors etc.. etc..They should all generally be focused on treating causes not symptoms like most doctors though.

They will know what tests to run for your symptoms.Jonathan Swaringenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01475604958889727610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-62911053802218539212012-06-10T17:15:01.931-07:002012-06-10T17:15:01.931-07:00thank you, Lemon!thank you, Lemon!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18029176370961017729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-546737792747609582012-06-10T17:14:31.042-07:002012-06-10T17:14:31.042-07:00It's all the time, Joseph. Even when I'm pregnant and eat as few as 300-900 calories a day (not on purpose) I don't lose a thing...which I should given that it's not enough calories to sustain me let alone a growing baby.

Thanks for the link!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18029176370961017729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-1264883262173996542012-06-10T10:38:43.089-07:002012-06-10T10:38:43.089-07:00Saw this article today: http://nourishedkitchen.co...Saw this article today: http://nourishedkitchen.com/farmers-market-tips/

and thought back to your farmers market post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-21942468696708055852012-06-09T16:16:31.617-07:002012-06-09T16:16:31.617-07:00Just out of curiosity, do you have these hot sympt...Just out of curiosity, do you have these hot symptoms all the time, or is it within an hour or two of eating? I know if I eat anything that is high in carbohydrate energy, I typically get really warm for the next hour or two. The only time this doesn't happen is if I eat a high carb meal after working out (it gets stored as muscle glycogen rather than being used for energy).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-68610819894192228632012-06-09T12:57:53.933-07:002012-06-09T12:57:53.933-07:00I really wish that I could, but this is beyond my ...I really wish that I could, but this is beyond my knowledge. However, there is a guy that I recommend that you email, he would be able to help you a lot. His name is Robb Wolf, and although he is a busy guy, he is very good about helping people. I don't have his email (Mark Sisson does), but here is his contact page. http://robbwolf.com/contact/robb/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-17538386849430484612012-06-08T04:31:06.903-07:002012-06-08T04:31:06.903-07:00What Sarah said. Most traditionally-trained doctors will either just stick you on Synthroid (useless) or give you an antidepressant. My naturopath has me on a combo of compounded T3 and T4.

www.StopTheThyroidMadness is a good site with lots of useful info.Janet Szabohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06936268602452180536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429040481329629212.post-18901316876603002912012-06-07T21:42:06.365-07:002012-06-07T21:42:06.365-07:00You might have a mix of hypothyroidism and adrenal...You might have a mix of hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue. The tests you are getting are useless unless you have all the numbers to give you a real picture of what's going on and are taking the right tests. Have your thyroid retested for TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Reverse T3, and antibodies. Look up adrenal fatigue for ways to see if you have it.Sarah V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03665930974992999653noreply@blogger.com
