Did you try it?

Did you try the turkey for Thanksgiving?

If so, how was your experience?

  1. I made your turkey (actually two of them--I took your advice and did two 10 pounders rather then one big guy). They were excellent and finished in 2.5 hours with both turkeys in the oven. We ended up only eating one on Thanksgiving anyway, so we pulled the other turkey and have been enjoying sandwiches for the past several days. I plan to use your technique next year, too!

  2. Yup, just tried it this past week. Far better than my own recipe. I'll be doing it this way in the future, and I thank you for sharing.

Obviously, I'll probably experiment with it a bit, because that is my nature, but I'll probably still keep it basically the same. The bird that I cooked using this recipe was probably one of the juiciest birds that I've ever cooked, and I think that might have something to do with the oranges, so that's a keeper. Plus, I absolutely love onions, so that is a keeper too.

    Once again, thank you.
