  1. Hello! I'm one of your Australian visitors. (Well, I'm originally from Indiana but now I live in Sydney.) I'm enjoying reading about your family's primal journey, and I've recommended your site to some of my friends considering going primal!

  2. You can add China to that list. I have to use a VPN to access your site as Blogspot blogs are one the many websites beyond the great firewall. Ni hao!

  3. Hi Heather,
the netherlands should also be in that list ;)
I really enjoy reading your blog, we've been going primal around the same time you did, but have it easier since there are no other allergies than milk and gluten wich are eliminated anyway by going primal. But.. is there a chance that your children are not as allergic to the foods as you think/had tested? Somewhere on Mark Sissons site I've come across an article that says that foodallergies might sometimes be caused by the byproducts in other foods, such as gluten, foodcolourings flavorenhancers etc.

It also happens that bloodtests do not always give reliable results, for instance my youngest son, 12 by now, is allergic to milk but on bloodtests this would not show up but an (severe)allergy to dogs did show up. So... we quit the milk and kept the dog and now he feels just great! In the january issue of the Pediatrics magazine there is an article written by two allergy doctors (sorry don't know the proper english word) from John Hopkins Childrens center and Mount Sinai hospital about reliability of those allergy tests see http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/129/1/193.full?sid=455b408a-1b08-4f43-98e8-86876a58db5e
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that maybe you could try to see if your daughters may in fact not respond allergic to products that they have responded to earlier , it may just make your life a little easier.

As a bonus I have a breakfast recipe for you that my children absolutely love, it came from the site sonofgrok wich since 2 days after my discovery of happend to disappear! Thankfully I still have this recipe!

    Caveman custard

    Ingredients:

    - 3 very ripe bananas

    - 1 can coconut milk

    - 3 eggs

    - Cinnamon

    Directions:

    1. Combine all ingredients except for cinnamon in a mixer and mix well.

    2. Pour into custard or souffle cups (coffee cups or other oven safe containers work fine if you don’t have custard cups).

    3. Sprinkle top with cinnamon.

    4. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for approx 45 minutes. Custard will balloon a bit and you may see some liquid… its ok, it will work itself out.
Can be eaten warm and cold, pop in the fridge en keeps for about a week. As a bonus for the kids I sometimes sprinkle some chocolate chips on the top.

Sorry for the long post, but I hope it was worth it for you (or aother readers).
    Greetings from holland,
Diana (and please please please do NOT believe the ramblings of mr. Santorum about Holland!)

    1. Thanks so much! Yes, it is possible that their alleries/sensitives can be lessened once they go Primal, however, it needs to be at least three months of not eating the offending foods, before you reintroduce them. So we are exited to see if this diet helps the kids out. I sure hope so.

This recipe sounds so good I want to make it right now! My kids will love you.

Thanks! (and I don't really listen to Santorum on anything, so now worries about Holland. hehe)
